In the club history several generations of talented football players have worn light blue game wear who have been written with gold letters into the history of Slovak, European as well as world football. Worth to mention are player´s as well as coach personalities like Tegelhoff, Šťastný, Pažický, Popluhár, Urban, Schrojf, Vengloš, Čapkovič brothers, Vencel, Masný, Švehlík, Pivarník, Ondruš, Galis, Tittel, Dubovský, Vittek and many others.

ŠK Slovan Bratislava is proud of gaining 21 Master´s of the Republic titles and 18 winnings in domestic cups. Many players of ŠK Slovan have significantly contributed to the historical success of national representation abroad: European Masters in 1976, holders of silver medals from 1960 in France and holders of bronze medals from Italy in 1980, silver medal holders from World Championship in Chile in 1962, Olympic silver medal holders in 1964 in Japan.

The club pays great attention to work with youth and supports young talents. Conditions for work with youth in ŠK Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia have been the best ones for a long time, the club disposes of ten football playgrounds which meet criteria of league competitions.

Home newsstand of ŠK Slovan – legendary Tehelné pole is being reconstructed at the moment. National football stadium, which shall be built at Tehelné pole will be the pride of the capital as well as the whole Slovakia. Stadium with capacity of 22-25.000 will be built in compliance with high standards of UEFA with a complex equipped background on international level. According to plan it shall be festively opened in 2016.

This unique project shall be the foretoken of a new era of football Slovan which shall connect to tradition and successes from the past with the aim to create a strong football club of Central-European extent and holder of successful sport and trade mark.
